BMDW Deadlines for Data Delivery

As of 2010-01-01, BMDW will update the database on a weekly basis, for all the participating cord blood banks. As a next step every file from cord blood banks will be processed overnight. Therefore for cord blood banks, there is no longer a deadline for data delivery, and cord blood banks may send in updated files at any time, preferably at a fixed schedule.

As a next step (as of 2010-02-01) we also process files from stem cell donor registries on a more frequent basis (and in a next phase also overnight).

However, it is recommended to submit a complete donor or cord blood file at least once a month at the deadline dates listed below. On these dates we will also extract the data files for those participating registries that have access to the restricted downloads.

The next deadlines for BMDW updates have been set to the following dates:

For participating registries submitting their data: please send us your updated complete stem cell donor or cord blood file before the deadline, so we can make your donors or cord blood units available for patients worldwide.

Please note:

- The deadline is set at 0:00h CET (GMT+1) on the dates mentioned above. This means that your data file should have arrived before 0:00h CET (GMT+1). Data files that arrive past the deadline will not be processed, but stored for the next update.

- It may take some time for your file to arrive here, so make sure you send your file a few days before the deadline date.
